Parliament & Cyber Conference 2025 – The framework for cyber resilience, innovation and growth
On the 24th November 2025, CBN hosted the inaugural Parliament & Cyber Conference – a unique forum for collaboration on cybersecurity hosted in the Houses of Parliament
The future plans surrounding UK cybersecurity resilience took centre stage at the inaugural Parliament & Cyber Conference 2025 on Monday, 24th November, hosted by the Cybersecurity Business Network (CBN), a UK coalition of cybersecurity organisations. This conference came at a critical time as the the need for robust, collaborative, and forward-thinking cybersecurity has never been greater. The conference was held after the announcement of the Cyber Security and Resilience (CSR) Bill that will bring data centres and Managed Service Providers into the scope of existing cyber regulations.
The conference hosted byMatt Warman, Chair of CBN and former UK Minister for Digital and Broadband brought together over 150 leaders from government, industry, and academia and some insightful panel discussions. The speakers include Security Minister, Home Office & Cabinet Office, Dan Jarvis MP, Jonathon Ellison OBE, Director of National Resilience for the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC); Shona Lester, Head of the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill Team at DSIT; Daniel Aldridge MP, Chair of the APPG for Cyber Innovation; Alison Griffiths MP, Chris Francis, Director Government Relations at SAP, Zeki Turedi, Field CTO, Europe at Crowdstrike amongst others.

Dan Aldridge MP acts as MP for his hometown of Weston-super-Mare. Before becoming MP, he spent over a decade advocating for social justice in parliament, building relationships across the Labour Party, with a specific focus on emerging technology, digital transition and online harms – holding this posting of Head of Policy at BCS, The Charter Institute for IT
Since taking office in July 2024, taken interest on a broad array of important causes at both a national and constituency level, including on economic growth, campaigning for high street improvements, better water quality, and increased NHS dentist appointments.
Emerging Tech & Threat Landscape: Attendees discussed how AI, quantum computing, and authentication are reshaping the way we protect the UK’s economy and society.
Policy, Incentives & Behaviour Change: What does effective regulation look like in 2025? The panel discussion on the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill highlighted that there is no single solution for cyber resilience, stressing that developing organisational maturity and implementing a multi-layered strategy is essential to reducing risk at scale.
Growth & Innovation: Conference examined the Government’s new Cyber Action Plan, and discussed how the UK’s cyber sector can drive economic growth and global leadership.
With keynote speeches from Ministers and Parliamentarians, interactive panels, focused breakout sessions, and extensive networking, this was the must-attend event for those invested in the UK’s digital future.
